TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: 12 August 2026

1. About Bend The Line Studio

This website is operated by Bend The Line Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Throughout these Terms of Service, “Bend The Line Studio” refers to the business operating this website and selling products through www.bendtheline.studio (the “Website”).

By accessing or using the Website, or purchasing a product from us, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Website or placing an order. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website.

These Terms should be read together with our other policies, including our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund Policy.

2. Our products

Bend The Line Studio creates and sells original artwork and may also offer prints, art-related products and other creative products through the Website.

Each original artwork is individually created by the artist. Because the works are handmade, minor variations in line, colour, texture and surface may occur.

Images of artwork and products on the Website are intended to represent the products as accurately as reasonably possible. However, colours may appear differently depending on your device, screen settings and lighting conditions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in a product description, an original artwork is a unique piece and only one original exists.

Product descriptions, dimensions, materials and other relevant information are provided on the individual product page.

3. Prices

All prices displayed on the Website are stated in euros (€), unless otherwise indicated.

Prices include applicable taxes where required by law.

Shipping costs, where applicable, will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

We reserve the right to change product prices at any time. A price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.

If we discover an obvious pricing error after you have placed an order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. You will have the option to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel the order.

4. Placing an order

When you place an order through the Website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product.

After placing an order, you will normally receive an order confirmation by email.

An order is accepted when we confirm that the product has been accepted for fulfilment and/or dispatched, subject to applicable consumer law.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where, for example:

  • the product is unavailable;
  • there is an obvious pricing or product description error;
  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity; or
  • we are unable to fulfil the order for reasons outside our reasonable control.

If we cancel an order after payment has been made, we will refund the amount paid.

5. Payment

Payments are processed through the payment methods made available at checkout.

We do not have access to your full payment card details.

By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

6. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on the Website or provided at checkout.

Delivery times may vary depending on the destination, shipping provider and circumstances outside our control.

Once your order has been dispatched, you may receive tracking information where tracking is available.

Our Shipping Policy provides further information about delivery, shipping costs and estimated delivery times.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights if an order is not delivered within the time required by applicable consumer law.

7. Your right to cancel an online purchase

If you are a consumer purchasing from Ireland or another jurisdiction where a statutory cancellation right applies, you may have a legal right to cancel your online purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

For an order containing multiple goods delivered separately, the cancellation period generally begins when you receive the last item.

If you exercise your statutory right to cancel, you must inform us within the applicable cancellation period and return the goods within the required timeframe.

Unless an exception applies, we will refund the purchase price and applicable standard delivery charge in accordance with applicable law.

You may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where permitted by law and where we have informed you of this before purchase.

Irish consumer law provides a 14-day cancellation period for most online purchases, with specific exceptions.

8. Exceptions to the right to cancel

The statutory cancellation right does not apply in certain circumstances provided for by law.

This may include goods that are made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised, among other statutory exceptions.

Where an exception applies, we will identify it before or at the time of purchase where required.

This does not affect your statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

9. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products

We want every artwork and product to arrive in the condition described on the Website.

If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract, please contact us as soon as possible and provide details of the issue.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction, refund or cancellation of the contract.

These statutory rights are separate from any voluntary return policy we may offer.

Under Irish consumer law, consumers have specific remedies for faulty goods, including stronger remedies for serious problems.

Please see our Refund Policy for information about how to contact us regarding a return or refund.

10. Original artwork

Original artworks sold through Bend The Line Studio are authentic works created by the artist.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the purchase of an original artwork transfers ownership of the physical artwork to the purchaser.

The purchase of an artwork does not transfer copyright or other intellectual property rights in the artwork.

The artist retains copyright and other intellectual property rights unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

The purchaser may display the physical artwork for personal or commercial interior purposes, but may not reproduce, scan, photograph for commercial reproduction, resell reproductions, create derivative products from the artwork, or otherwise commercially exploit the artwork without prior written permission from the artist, except where permitted by law.

11. Intellectual property

All content on the Website, including but not limited to:

  • artwork images;
  • photographs;
  • videos;
  • written text;
  • product descriptions;
  • logos;
  • branding;

  • original creative materials

is owned by or licensed to Bend The Line Studio unless otherwise stated.

This content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, published, sold or commercially exploited without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Purchasing a physical artwork does not give you ownership of the copyright in that artwork.

12. Website use

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

  • use the Website for fraudulent or unlawful activities;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website or its systems;

13. Third-party services and links

The Website may use third-party services, applications and payment providers, including services provided through Shopify.

The Website may also contain links to third-party websites.

We are not responsible for the content, security, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control.

Your use of third-party services may also be subject to the third party's own terms and policies.

14. Accuracy of information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on the Website is accurate and up to date.

However, occasional errors, omissions or inaccuracies may occur.

We reserve the right to correct errors, update information and make changes to products, descriptions or prices where necessary.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

15. Website availability

We aim to keep the Website available and functioning properly, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, secure or free from errors.

The Website may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, updates or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

16. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or that arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights in relation to products purchased from us.

17. Events outside our reasonable control

We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

This may include, for example:

  • natural disasters;
  • severe weather;
  • war or civil unrest;
  • strikes or industrial disputes;
  • government restrictions;
  • interruption of transport services;
  • postal or courier disruptions;
  • serious technical failures; or
  • failures of third-party service providers.

Where such circumstances affect your order, we will take reasonable steps to inform you and minimise the impact.

18. Privacy

Any personal information you provide when using the Website or placing an order is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie Policy.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, products, Website or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page.

Changes will not affect rights that you have already acquired under an order or under applicable law.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.

If you are a consumer living in another country, you may also have mandatory consumer protection rights under the laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict such rights where applicable.
